TIME LAPSE THE 2010 NEW JERSEY BLIZZARD

If you need to know why you're not getting home anytime soon, watch this video. If you're out of school/work due to the blizzy, enjoy. Props for the usage and placement of the clock. It must be nice having a really sick camera, too. Via: Clevahgrrl

THE BROTHERS OF CHICO DUSTY MASHUP IS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

The Black Keys and Big Boi made two of the most acclaimed albums in 2010 (Brothers and Sir Luscious Left Foot). DJ Wick-it the Instigator blended these two albums with such precision, resulting in heavy southern grooves complimented by The Black Keys signature bluesy soul.  Hear it for yourself below. HAPPY RELIGIOUS HOLIDAY MUSIC

When you need that perfect song to play while you're drinking Irish coffee and eggnog by the fireplace, look no further than this retro version of "White Winter Hymnal" the Fleet Foxes just unleashed. It was recorded in the key of Sega. So sit back, relax and relish in those youthful days of the early 90s. Mistletoe.

If you were more the NES type, Fleet Foxes also converted their song "Mykonos" into an 8-bit Nintendo version. If only cool bands back in the day decided to get into the video game music making business. The soundtracks would have been epic. A Guns N' Roses Nintendo game soundtrack? Imagine that.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM-2010 ALBUM OF THE YEAR

There's no other contender in my mind. LCD Soundsystem released what is rumored to be their last album, This is Happening, in May. The sound is ahead of its time. The tracks are sprawling in size (most clock in at over seven minutes). Nonetheless, the whole album is grounded in rhythm and lyrical themes any person can relate to.  Band producer, lyricist and vocalist James Murphy's tracks are infectious in their honest nature, giving you the sense you've been there too. And you'll want to go back to it again and again. Dig it.

COLDPLAY IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MARIO SONG

That's all. Never cared much for the Radiohead wannabees. Hear the Super Mario comparison for yourself. Not sure of the original song... too apathetic towards  the band to look it up. Coldplay does, however, provide for quite the good laugh. Happy Friday. :(
