RIOT BREAKS OUT OVER BANKSY'S BUBBLE BALLOON FINALE (VIDEO)

Well that escalated fast. In mere minutes after posting his final Better Out Than In piece, a group of opportunists attempted to steal the Banksy Bubble Font balloons residing in Queens off the Long Island Expressway.  Newsflash: It didn't end well for these two guys. See what happens when two opportunists meet the ire of Banksy's biggest fans.

Instagram footage of balloon thieves getting taken down by Banksy fanboys and the NYC police. Epic ending to an epic monthlong stint on the streets of New York City. Footage of the balloon thieves in action

UPDATE: 1:30PM, The Banksy Bubble Balloon is now in police custody. Maybe they'll dust it for fingerprints.

NEW BANKSY GONE IN UNDER A DAY (CUE SAD MUSIC)

October 1

Well that didn't take long for Banksy's new street art in Chinatown to get removed. Unfortunately by way of buff, and what's left isn't pretty. Guess someone in  NYC is desperate to steal Banksy's thunder. Sad, but the nature of the street game. Atleast someone got the "Graffiti is a crime" signage instead of his first new work being totally ruined. Probably expect to see that sign on ebay some point soon. Image via neilfakrull

BANKSY TO REEMERGE NEXT WEEK

In true poetic fashion, Banksy updated his website the other day with just one image of a silhouetted street artist throwing up flowers sprouting out of a wall. Nothing else remains on his site but the promise of October 2013, the month Banksy will reappear.

Rumors are he's living in L.A. with a possible outdoor show in the works to play off his 'Better Out Than In' declaration. Could this finally be his response to all the recent opportunists removing his street art in L.A. and London and selling them for huge money in private auction—perhaps, he'll center the show around "art for the people, not for the galleries"? We'll just have to wait until next week to see what the mystery man has planned. Check back for more new Banksy images during October as they appear, whereever that may end up. via Banksy

Hear Banksy's thoughts on Yoplait, One Direction, Ice Cream, The View, Garbage Pail Kids, Mr Brainwash, KAWS and more. The street art genius is funnier than ever, if this is actually him, that is. That's up for date. But either way, thank you Adult Swim for putting this together.
