WOKE UP TO VINTAGE AWESOMENESS

The internet is a mind blowing place. And sometimes all you need is a great twitter feed to blow your mind to pieces. These ads were produced sometime between 1840-1875 and preserved by the Library of Congress. Epic design work. Can only imagine the amount of time these took to create. Their awesomeness sure endures. Via: Lookbothways by way of PublicSchool

THE FAMOUS EYES MAKE THE FRAMES

Moxy Creative has a cool poster series entitled 'Framework' that pays tribute to the famous faces and the eye wear they made iconic. The simplistic illustration and execution in these posters draw nice focus to the famous frames while the subtle silhouette profiles come to life in the background. YOUR STOMACH VS STARBUCKS' TRENTA CUP (infographic)

Apparently nobody got the memo at Starbucks that their new cup size is bigger than the average stomach. Not to mention, Trenta = 30 in English. But the cup size is actually 31 oz. Looks like we have a 'cup size' fail. Via:Buzzfeed. Infographic Via The National Post

A PART OF MY HOOSIER SPIRIT DIED TODAY

A buddy of mine shared, with laughable confusion, this 'Hoosier Basketball Rap Video,' This is Indiana. When I saw it, a sat in horror, weeping on the inside at the tarnished reputation these four minutes could have on my Alma mater. I would also like to note that no one in this video was alive the last time IU won a National Championship. Well, except the old guy. My only concern now is to find out who funded this video so I can understand how this was allowed to happen.

I'm sure Kanye West will probably be pissed about these kids piggybacking on his hit 'Power.' Lil Wayne and Drake too, if only for these farm boys' hilarious attempts at mimicking their Young Money rhyming/lyrical styling. Bummer about the timing of the video's release (during a 5 game losing streak). Sorry for the downer IU folks. I Crean for the glory days too. For everybody else, enjoy the laugh at our expense. Or hey, maybe you think it's the best thing ever. Well, if that's the case, you can buy this smash hit on iTunes. No joke. Or is the joke on you? Via: @Kentcarmichael

HIRE THIS HOMELESS MAN FROM COLUMBUS

Two years clean; voice of God. Ted Williams (I sh*t you not) resides in Columbus, OH and will do your voice overs and on air radio talent. Good luck, Ted, we're rooting for you. Via: Josh F.

Update: A week later, Ted Williams is still bigger than Susan Boyle... and the Columbus Dispatch took down the video I originally embeded because of copyright issues. But that doesn't mean you can't see his first commercial VO spot for Kraft Mac N' Cheese. Way to go CP + B on being the first to get Ted Williams back to what he does best. And that's making you hungry for some of this tasty mac n' cheese.

HOW ABOUT A SUPER TRIPPY SHORT FILM FROM LEGO

All stop motion. All created using those little plastic bricks. All sorts of weirdness. I don't know what the creator of this film was on when he made this 2 minute short film. I want to guess acid. But, it doesn't really matter. This is 100% enjoyment—crazy music and klepto-ness included—from the great people of Lego nation; Conceived by the minds of Pereira & O'dell. Via:MyModernMetropolis

A SUPER FAN'S OBLITERATING REVIEW OF STAR WARS III: REVENGE OF THE SITH

Clocking in at a whopping 111 minutes, a made up super fan named Mr. Plinkett rips into the final Star Wars installment, Revenge of the Sith, putting to rest the modern day tragedy that are these three prequels.  Mr. Plinkett disects the utter lack of cohesiveness and logic in this film so well that George Lucas himself owes us all an apology. Well done, Red Letter Media. It all makes sense now. Via: Boing Boing.
