On March 2nd, 2011, TED Grand Prize recipient, French Street Photographer JR, will reveal his "wish" to the world.
When he won this past October, JR was awarded $100,000 and a wish for the TED community to help him fulfill. As a run up to his highly anticipated live web cast announcement in Long Beach, California, JR is popping up around town with twenty pieces from his latest project, "The Wrinkles of the City." View the live web cast on March 2nd at TED.
Here are a few that JR has pasted up so far of native Angelenos that he'll be featuring around Los Angeles. Check out his website for new additions as they are completed. Via: JR + Arrested Motion

FITTINGLY
The Flaming Lips performance on Yo Gabba Gabba made me realize they'd make a great kids album. Wayne Coyne's gives off a good Alice in Wonderland sugar coated in darkness vibe. The song is "I can be a frog," off their most recent effort, Embryonic. Wonder how the kids enjoyed this. Man, I wish bands like that were on my programs growing up. Trippy. Via: Pitchfork

Reality TV at it's realest right here. Accidents happen. Sure. But when you're a reporter, there's no faking authenticity. What's real is real. What's happening is happening. THE PRICE IS RIGHT AS STAGE PROP
I've never been on the Showcase Showdown, but if there is one thing I've always wanted to do is spin that wheel. Don't know what the Black Keys plans are during concerts for the Price is Right wheel, but I'm sure it's gonna be awesome. Via: Black Keys

PHISH AGAINST THE MACHINE
Since Phish launched their Summer tour, the band has been pulling out new covers night after night, virtually learning them before that day's shows. We've witnessed solid versions of The Beatles "I am the Walrus," Led Zepplin's "The Rover," The Stones "Jumping Jack Flash" and now, to close the first leg of the tour, Phish shows us they can nail Rage's "Killing in the Name of."

BROKEN BELLS: LIVE IN CHICAGO
The Broken Bells played the Vic Theater in Chicago on Memorial Day. From the lush sounds and rhythms of Danger Mouse and Shins lead singer, James Mercer, The Broken Bells performed their debut album solidly...and they know how to play a mean cover —nailing "Crimson and Clover" and "You Really Got a Hold on Me."

ATOMS FOR PEACE: LIVE FROM THE ARAGON BALLROOM, CHICAGO
Shot the first of Atoms for Peace two night stand at Chicago's legendary Aragon Ballroom. Thom Yorke, Flea and company closed the show out with the funky tripped out sounds of Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses. Video is a little shaky at first, but the sound is tight. Enjoy!
